In March 2018 PIM hosted and delivered its first integrity management event. The event, which considered issues affecting integrity management in the North Sea, attracted more than 50 integrity management professionals and has been hailed a success. PIM's managing director, Steven Plant has committed to running a similar event in 2019.
"Having heard much talk about collaboration within the industry we decided it was time to step up and bring integrity management professionals together to discuss the issues which are currently affecting integrity management in the North Sea . We couldn’t be more pleased with the response to our inaugural event. Our next challenge will be to deliver a similarly successful one next year.”
A range of experts, including externals speakers, spoke on diverse integrity management issues, all linked by the common theme of uncertainty. Topics included the role of integrity management in cessation of production, how uncertainty can be alleviated by collaboration as well as the management of corrosion resistant alloys (CRA) in later life.
