PIM Event 2018

To integrity and beyond. Setting new standards in uncertain times.

PIM hosted and delivered our first integrity management event on the 22nd March at Jurys Inn Aberdeen.

Entitled ‘To integrity and beyond, setting new standards in uncertain times’, the event attracted more than 50 integrity management professionals.

One that would provide a forum for networking and also stimulate lively debate between those presenting and those attending. Following a period of unsettled and sometimes turbulent times in the oil and gas industry the central theme for PIM’s event was uncertainty. The presentations were split in to four sessions;

  • alternative analysis techniques,
  • we know what we know,
  • room for improvement,
  • challenging expectations.

During the course of the afternoon, 11 different speakers presented a wealth of integrity management knowledge to their audience on topics including root cause analysis, cessation of production, the need for collaboration, corrosion resistant alloys and fabric maintenance among others.

Steven explained the rationale for holding the event. “PIM has been part of the oil and gas supply chain for more than seven years. During this time, our client base has grown and we now work with some of the major players in the industry. We have also grown as a company; we now employ more than 50 people and further growth means that this number will increase by another 10% over the course of 2018.

“Having heard much talk about collaboration within the industry we decided it was time to step up and bring integrity management professionals together to discuss the issues which are affecting integrity management in the North Sea today.”
