Entries open for the 2024 PIM Running Festival at Crathes Castle
Registration is now open for the much-anticipated 2024 PIM Running Festival, set amidst the stunning backdrop of the National Trust for Scotland’s Crathes Castle Estate near Banchory, Aberdeenshire. This year marks the fifth anniversary of PIM’s sponsorship for the now well-established running fixture. Scheduled for the 14th of September, the festival promises a day filled with thrilling races and festivities within the beautiful grounds of Crathes Castle and it’s surrounds.
Athletes are encouraged to secure their spots early to avoid disappointment, as tickets are expected to sell out quicker this year for the popular event in the North East Scotland running calendar. The festival welcomes individuals of all ages and abilities, from beginners to competitive runners offering a half marathon, a 5km race, and a 1.5km children's race.
Sponsored by PIM and supported by a team of volunteer stewards, proceeds from the running festival will contribute to the conservation charity National Trust for Scotland to protect, care for and share Scotland’s natural, built, and cultural heritage.
As well as the fun on the course, there will be entertainment, food, and refreshments available to keep spirits high throughout the day for both competitors and supporters.

During last year's event, more than 1500 runners and supporters enjoyed the picturesque yet challenging course. Prizes are awarded across various age and gender categories for the fastest times in each race, with Kyle Greig emerging as the overall winner of the 2023 half marathon (21km), completing it in an impressive 1 hour, 11 minutes, and 47 seconds. All participants receive a medal, an event t-shirt, and goody bag to commemorate the occasion.
