PIM Running Festival at Crathes Castle 2023

The annual Half Marathon, 5k and 1.5k children’s race event sponsored by PIM will return to the beautiful Crathes Castle Estate, on Saturday 16th September.

Over 1000 runners and supporters were in buoyant form at the last year’s event with multiple prizes awarded for the fastest times by age group and gender categories in each race. Paul Wilkie was the overall winner of the Half Marathon (21km) with a time of 1 hour 13 minutes and 51 seconds.

Even if you’re not going for a win, then setting a personal best or just having a great day out on a picturesque challenging course is reward enough! As always, all competitors will receive a t-shirt, medal and goody bag.

Martin Worth said "After the great turnout of the 2022 “come-back-after-COVID-event” we’re expecting this year to be even bigger and better, and I for one will be looking for significant improvement on my 2022 Half Marathon time!"

James Henderson, Aberdeenshire South Operations Manager for the National Trust for Scotland added, “The atmosphere last September was phenomenal. It was quite emotional to see so many here enjoying the day, perhaps not at the 20km marker though!

Alongside the guaranteed fun on the course, we’re looking to build on the entertainment, food and refreshments, to make this an even more memorable, fun day for competitors, families and supporters at Crathes.”
