As a result of PIM’s continuing success and expansion, we are looking for a Corrosion Engineer to join our team.

Working on a variety of interesting projects in the UK and overseas with robust training support, combined with hybrid working, this role offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

PIM’s business vision is to develop and mentor our engineering talent to become industry leading consultants. To achieve this, you will join a supportive team where you will learn to provide technical advice and make technical decisions within the fields of:

  • Materials
  • Corrosion mitigation
  • Corrosion monitoring
  • Corrosion management
  • Assurance

Areas you may have exposure to include:

  • Supporting the development of Corrosion Control Strategies for process plant across a variety of energy sectors.
  • Support the implementation of Asset Integrity Management Strategies.
  • Support the development of Written Schemes of Examination / Risk-Based Inspection Schemes, including their management in operations.
  • Participate in the investigation and research of In-Service failures, make recommendations, and support close-out of actions raised to prevent recurrence.
  • Condition assessment and life extension studies.


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Some experience is preferred, however, it is more important that candidates have relevant education.
  • Positive attitude with drive and willingness to learn and share.
  • Education in Engineering / Science with a Corrosion bias.
  • Willingness to work towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institute.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work within the UK.
